“We approached Marden to build a new website for our gym, as our original site was outdated and no longer met our needs. Marden listened carefully to our ideas and vision, and his approachable and friendly manner made the entire redesign process smooth and enjoyable. The new website not only looks fantastic but also reflects our brand perfectly, thanks to Marden’s attention to detail and creative input.
Beyond the website, we brought Marden on board to manage our social media and run targeted ads. His innovative strategies and consistent engagement have been game-changers, significantly boosting our online presence. On average, Marden’s efforts have brought in seven new customers each month—a remarkable result that has greatly contributed to the growth of our business.
Marden truly feels like a part of our team rather than just someone we work with. His dedication and passion for helping our business succeed are evident in everything he does. We look forward to continuing our work with Marden and are excited to see what new ideas and successes the future holds.”

Website Design Overview
A&J Future Fitness is a 24-hour gym based in Abergavenny. They approached me in November 2023 to develop a brand-new website that properly showcased their services and key offerings.
Their previous site, originally built in 2013, hadn’t been updated in over a decade. It lacked mobile responsiveness, had no SEO structure, and used an outdated system that made navigation difficult and engagement low.
I proposed a complete rebuild focused on performance, usability, and visibility — a modern website built with core SEO principles and full mobile optimisation, helping A&J Future Fitness attract new members and highlight their unique selling points.

Website Design Challenges
A&J Future Fitness were working with an outdated website and hosting setup that limited what they could do online. The site’s structure was unclear, images were low quality, and the platform itself was years out of date — making a complete rebuild the best option.
Because their existing content was minimal, I needed to create new copy that not only reflected their brand but also helped them compete on Google. Competitor sites were packed with information, so I focused on writing content that was clear, relevant, and SEO-friendly.
Their main goals were to look more professional, ensure the website worked seamlessly on mobile devices, and improve their search rankings. Having recently introduced 24-hour access, it was also important to communicate this clearly to potential members and make key details — like memberships, pricing, and opening hours — easy to find.

The Result
The new website gave A&J Future Fitness a professional, modern online presence that truly reflects the quality of their gym. Built on a faster, more reliable hosting platform, the site now performs smoothly, loads quickly, and looks great on any device.
With clearer structure, fresh content, and strong on-page SEO, the site began ranking higher on Google for key local fitness searches. Their 24-hour access is now front and centre, helping them stand out from competitors and attract new members.
Since the launch, A&J Future Fitness has seen an increase in new memberships, with several customers mentioning they discovered the gym through the new website. Alongside ongoing social media ad campaigns, the site continues to generate consistent enquiries and drive measurable growth for the business.
Social Media Marketing Overview
A&J Future Fitness had previously relied on boosting posts through Facebook and Instagram but had never run a structured advertising campaign. I took over their social media marketing to manage targeted Meta ads through Ads Manager, focusing on increasing brand awareness and driving new membership sign-ups.
The strategy was built around clear goals, engaging visuals, and strong call-to-actions that highlighted A&J’s 24-hour access and local community appeal. Within the first month, one ad campaign directly led to seven new memberships, alongside consistent engagement and solid reach across both platforms.

Social Media Marketing Challenges
Before running the campaigns, A&J Future Fitness didn’t have much original content to use for ads. To create high-performing visuals, I needed to plan, capture, and produce all the content myself — from photos and short-form videos to the graphics used across Meta.
Alongside this, I wrote compelling headlines and call-to-actions that aligned with the brand’s goals, encouraging people to find out more and join the gym. The challenge was to make the ads stand out locally while keeping them authentic to the A&J brand — professional, trustworthy, and community-focused.

The Result
The ad campaigns delivered strong results across both Meta platforms, with a clear increase in followers, engagement, and reach. A&J’s posts began reaching new audiences consistently, and the brand gained greater visibility within the local area.
One campaign alone led to seven new membership sign-ups in the first month, directly attributed to the ads. Alongside this, engagement on both Facebook and Instagram continued to grow, helping A&J build stronger awareness and stay front-of-mind with potential members in Abergavenny.
The success of these campaigns reinforced the importance of targeted Meta advertising — turning what used to be boosted posts into a strategy that consistently delivers measurable business results.
