Website Terms And Conditions

Before starting your website design project, it is essential for you to understand the terms and conditions I work to ensure your project is completed to the best of my ability. Although I take on all the work myself, A website design project is collaborative with all parties involved.

Your Involvement

At MardenDigital I enjoy collaborating with various industries. I fully immerse myself in your business and operations, however, I am not an expert in your field or industry. For us to create a website that perfectly aligns with your goals and fits your brand,

You will need to:

  • Provide information and content for web pages regarding your business and services 
  • Provide relevant images and videos which aid the website 
  • Give me access to the relevant software / online systems, if applicable, to meet the brief of the website.
  • Provide regular feedback throughout the building of the site to ensure it is aligned with your goals. 

Website Hosting And Domain Name

The purchase of hosting and a domain name is separate from the quote for the website itself. The domain name comes to a total of £50 per year and a domain name roughly £12 per year. If choosing to host the website and purchase the domain name with MardenDigital,

You will need to:

  • Ensure payment of hosting and domain name is completed within 14 days of the invoice.

If choosing not to host with MardenDigital, you will need to:

  • Give me access to your hosting provider and server in order for me to successfully build the website.

Payment of the website

All websites are paid after completion, with a £50 deposit required before the start of the website build. Websites are quoted based on the size/scope of the site. There is also no contract or obligation for you to accept the website if you are unhappy with the services or design. When you are happy with the site and it is live, I give 14 days known as a “test period” for you to find any faults and ensure everything is working to the best of its ability.  After this 14 day period,

You will need to:

  • Pay the invoice for the agreed amount for the website

Revivisions and edits to the website

Once the website is launched and live, any edits or changes that need to be completed are free of charge for the first month after the initial site launch. Any updates/edits after the free period will be charged. To get the best value for your money, I recommend purchasing the monthly maintenance and management package for your website.

SEO Best practices

All websites are built with SEO best practices in mind.

This includes:

  • All on page SEO including correct titles and URLs
  • Aiming to rank for a keyword on Google

I will try my utmost hardest to get your site ranking on google however there is no guarantee this will happen. Ranking high on google search results involves consistent edits to your website and frequently updating your site. If you require your website to rank high on google please check out my SEO packages and Website maintenance and management package.

Website Health And Security

When hosting your website on the MardenDigital server, your website will be secure and the relevant plugins are updated to ensure the site of your site is the best it can be. However, after the site is launched, I do not access the site to manually update the plugins and check the health of the site. If you are interested in regularly updating and checking the health and security of the website, this is available in my website maintenance and management package. 

My Promise to you

When working with me, I fully commit to building a site which meets your brief and is tailored to your business. 

I will:

  • Design and build a site which matches your brand Identity and meets your goals
  • Try my hardest to meet any reasonable deadline for the completion of your site.
  • Provide you with updates on the website and timeframes.

Client Delay policy

Deadlines and timeframes may be delayed/extended,

If the client fails to:

  • Provide information and content on time 
  • Provide feedback on the website on time 

Liability Limitations

MardeDigital is not liable for any conflicts or damages

Caused by:

  • Third-party hosting 
  • Plugin failures 
  • Outages 

Ownership

MardenDigital confirms that the ownership of the complete website and the design belongs to the client.
